Hockey Program

Puck Skill Development

* Develop puck control & stick handling confidence
* Strengthen passing & receiving skills
* Master shot accuracy & shoot to score

Game Situations & Techniques

* Learn positional play & breakouts
* Recognize offensive & defensive concepts

Video Analysis

      * Improve technique through bio-mechanical analysis of skating posture.

 

 

 

 

The Following programs are available:

Cobden (all programs co-ed)

  1. Group A ~ 6-8 years – Initiation/Novice
  2. Group B ~ 9-10 years – Atom
  3. Group C ~ 11-12 years – Pee Wee
  4. Group D ~ 13 + years – Bantam/Midget/Adult

Group A       Power skating, puck handling skills, video analysis (skating)

Groups B-C-D  All of the above and  checking skills N.B. stick/body checking depending on the requirements of their hockey programs

 

Petawawa (all programs co-ed)

1. Group A (6-10) for competitive atoms

Power skating, puck handling skills, video analysis (skating) and body checking skills.

2. Group B (11 + ) house league, recreational ( peewee, bantam, midget, junior and adult)

Power skating, puck handling skills, video analysis (skating), body checking skills and team play.

3. Competitive Program (competitive players, peewee, bantam, midget and  junior) 

A high intensity program to ensure competitive players are at the top of their game, mentally, physically and skill-wise as they prepare for their respective training camps. Program will include high intensity puck handling, passing, checking drills, individual and team tactics and 4x4.

 

 

 

Registration Fee: $170.00 single and $160.00 for each additional family member (GST included). CFB Petawawa CAC members receive a 10% discount. There is a $25.00 cancellation fee. Post dated cheques must be dated no later than one (1) week before the beginning of the program.

*You will be notified of your placement in the week preceding the beginning of the school. If you aren’t accepted, you will be notified immediately.
